HONORING THE CITIZENS OF ASGARD -WEEKLY ASGARDIAN´S DAY

Asgardians!

Thanks to all of you the vision behind THE ASGARD SAGA is becoming a reality!

Our website is not only the main source of information for THE ASGARD SAGA,
it has become a community where you, the fans, exchange thoughts and contribute materials, including your own “Asgard”-related stories.

We are amazed by the wealth of ideas and depth of imagination these stories carry.
They all help to expand our adventure and make it a more vibrant, constantly growing Asgard universe.

To honor the time and effort you all invest into Asgard, we herewith declare a weekly “Asgardian´s Day”!

On this day, we will publish an exemplary story from the “Fan Fiction” or “my Saga” section in the official main page BLOG to recognize the creativity of Asgard´s citizens.

We want to encourage all visitors to read more of those exciting, powerful and often touching stories at the THORUM.

We are looking forward to receiving more contributions from all of you.

Mythology Guide - your support is needed!!

Dear Asgardians!

To provide interested Asgardians with a deeper knowledge of the Norse myths and legends we are putting together a Mythology Guide - and your support is needed!

This will be the perfect occasion for those of you who are familiar with Norse Mythology to share your knowledge, and a good opportunity for the others to be introduced to this captivating field.

What's the aim?
To build a basic guide, that will be an interesting reading for everyone and a useful tool for the newcomers.
Each subject treated in this thread will also represent an entry in the http://www.asgard-saga.com/mythology.html section. Your writings will be the ground of these entries; excerpts from your contributions are going to be included!

How is this going to work? A new topic will be appointed on a regular basis. You are invited to contribute with own information on each topic. Once a new topic is announced, the old one will be considered closed.

The first topic is Mir and the creation of the Universe, according to Norse Mythology. Your contributions are awaited in the thorum: Mythology Guide - Share your knowledge here!

ASGARD IS EVERYWHERE!

Asgardians,

there are those who say we live in a world of chaos, where things happen simply by accident.
Others believe everything happens for a reason, and things that are meant to be, or that belong together, will find together.

So, was it pure chance that brought WOLFGANG HOHLBEIN and MANOWAR together, both great admirers of the Norse mythology?
Or were they meant to meet, so they would create this new, exciting adventure for us?

And how about that: after MCF/Loreley Joey went to visit our friends from Novagraphix, the geniuses who built this wonderful site.

4 WEEKS AGO....

Hi Asgardians,


I just wanted to take a moment and remind you that only 4 weeks ago we celebrated MCF and THE ASGARD SAGA on Loreley.
Can you believe it? Feels so long ago... but this is what happens when you enjoy something and miss it.

Good news is that MCF IV is being planned already. With more ASGARD SAGA of course!
News will follow as soon as available.

TV feature from MCF on Loreley (in German)

Asgardians,

soon we will provide you with finest video material from our film wiz Neil Johnson.
Neil has recorded hours and hours of material, that requires editing.
And we wanted Neil to have the chance for a couple of holidays after the weeks on tour ;)

So, in the meantime, here a brief report from a German TV station (Mittelrhein TV). Only in German, I am afraid.
Oh, if we could turn back time...


Since we cannot: let´s look forward to the next MCF!

ACTION - FANTASY - ADVENTURE!
ENTERTAINMENT IN A NEW DIMENSION


... Hell had opened its gates and spilled burning blood on the city in order to destroy it. Roofs and gables burst while flames tore through iron grey skies. Behind them, humans fled in panic and fear of the warriors, the fire devils that annihilated all that crossed their path.

Thor could have his loyal men stand against them, fight and perish. There was a quiet, age-old voice in him, telling him that he should do exactly that. That it was his duty, to fight the battle or die trying.


But this was not the moment yet. To break the stranglehold of their enemies and attack their army from the back, this was the only chance they had to survive.

The story of 'THE ASGARD SAGA' (outlook):

He is stranded in a treacherous wasteland of ice and cold, a man without memory, not aware of his own strength. Driven by the desperate wish to find himself, he enters a merciless battle with hostile warriors. On his flight he finds refuge in legendary Midgard and an ally in the Skalde, Bjoern.
Only through him he begins to understand that he is in the center of the ancient battle for Asgard, that he must choose whose side he will stand on.
But when the tries to force a decision in a bloody contest, all turns against him.

Cast out by the Gods, hunted by men, he falls in love with a woman, the mysterious Urd, who offers promise and perdition at the same time.

With the hammer in his hands, he shakes the earth, crushes friend and foe, tears down the edges of doom. And above all, he realizes who he really is: Thor, the God of Thunder, who has come to shatter the old order and punish those who want to ruin him or his kin ...
