When I was young the first books I've ever read was "Midgard" by Wolfgang Hohlbein. Some years later I experienced Manowar for the first time in my life. I was just 12 years old but old enough to know what’s good. And since this moment I was addicted to Manowar's metal. Now, 16 years later I am more than a fan. It became part of my life. Manowar helped me through the deepest and best times of my life. When I’m sad I listen to "Courage", when I need power I choose "King", and when I am with best friends... sure "Warriors of the World...” It always gives me a clear direction, where ever I may stand. I will always follow this path of honor, pride and respect. This is my fate.
I thank Manowar for the greatest gift in music! For me Manowar is "more than a religion, it's the only way to live", truly and forever. HAIL

P.S.: If you want to hear true emotions listen to "Achilles, Agony and Ecstasy" (minute 13.) loudly....and cry.

On November 27, 2009, MANOWAR will release Hell on Earth V (double DVD), the first of the Hell On Earth series made exclusively in High Definition. We've listened to the fans and are giving them the magnum opus they demanded from us featuring live, full-length versions of songs never before seen or heard on previous MANOWAR DVDs.
With brand new cover art by world famous artist Ken Kelly, Hell on Earth V was five years in the making and shot from over 150 camera angles, using helicopters, camera cranes, mounted cameras and hand-held HD cameras.
Highlights include the Viking Encore set, recorded during MANOWAR's 2007 Demons, Dragons & Warriors European tour and featuring full-length versions of "The Sons of Odin", "Glory, Majesty, Unity", "Gods of War", "Army of the Dead Part 2", "Odin" and "Hymn of the Immortal Warrior".

There I had to put on my sword, while my father did the same.
He asked me what I know about Hel. I answered that she is the daughter of Loki, the sister to Sleipnir und Fenrir, and her home lies high in the north and that there live all demons and ghosts, against which Odin and his Einherjer would have to fight at Ragnarök. Then my father told me that after their deaths all the thieves, cowards and perjurers came to Hel. Them and the straw dead people. I asked what the straw dead people are. The straw dead people are the warriors to whom it was not granted to die on the battlefield.
''And therefore, my son'', said my father, ''you will kill me now in the duel. Because I will not go to Hel!''
I denied to fight against mine own father, however, he attacked me, with a strength I would not have credited him with anymore. First I defended myself only, talking to him. However, he went over and over again and steered my sword in such a way that it met him. Before I could pull back my weapon he had already enclosed my hand and drove the weapon further into his body.
''Thanks my son'', he said, before he died in my arms.
In the evening of the winter solstice the smoke of my father rose against the sky.

ASGARDIAN'S DAY - MY QUEST FOR ASGARD

My Quest For Asgard

As I dig deeper into the stories of Asgard, Odin and the like.. I can easily understand how they have remained so close to the hearts of so many people everywhere. These gods make mistakes, have emotions, it makes them easy to relate to.
For that matter I think in this world we are all gods in our own right. We are masters of our own actions. Free to touch and change the world around us. They know they will die, so do we. They live in a world doomed to end, as do we. There have been many times where I swear I could feel a crushing blackness, threatening to consume us all.
They choose to fight anyway, so do I
For me Asgard is less a destination and more a direction. Only your heart knows the way. If you are pursuing it then you are always finding it.
I have always felt strong, and sought what is right (although I do not always chase it). What Manowar has given me is Music to inspire me, an army to fight with and the power to challenge the giants.
Yes, for me it’s all one big beautiful metaphor.
I have been overflowed with so many words of wisdom, stories, love, sweat, joy, blood and tears, I feel as though it could have been from a thousand lifetimes. When you have so much, it is never hard to share.
I have survived and done quite a few wonderful and awful things. But, I think what defines me is where I am going. I am exploiting my strengths and crushing my weaknesses.
I guess I can not tell you much more of my “heroic acts”, while I would say there are plenty of them, they are all about as small and as large as a smile.
