HAMMER OF THE GODS - 2nd sneak into the TAS short novel by Wolfgang Hohlbein!!

Thirteen men had died. Out there on the sea, during this last night, thousands had died, but this number was just to monstrous to consider.
But these thirteen, he had known. ... Each one of them was not simply a soldier and seaman, who had pledged his loyalty to Asgard and himself, Thor.
Each one of them had been a father, a brother, a caring husband or son, each one of them had left his family and loved ones behind and each one of them had trusted his word and his promises. ... And now they were dying an unworthy and utterly futile death.
He felt helpless, but there was also this growing anger within him, a grudge over a destiny that had dared to oppose his will, the will of a god after all!

ASGARDIAN'S DAY - To Valhalla's Gates and Back

I remember looking out the window during supper to see a burning cross in my front yard. My grandfather, having retired rifle and bayonet, was a saddle maker, wrapped his old leathery hands around the grip of his shotgun, and alone went to face the mob. I heard his voice, unwavering, "Get off of my property you sons of bitches! I'll sell to whoever I want.", the klansmen were not masked, and many I recognized from trips to the local auctions. These were not strangers, these were people we knew. My grandfather sold feed and tack to the local blacks, because no one else would, which is what had started this debacle.
I recount, with tears welling in my eyes, my grandfather standing in the firelight, his teeth bared with rage as he stood against ten men, each nearly twice his size, and armed. As he shoved them, they simply recoiled like cowards, guns pointed to the ground, shaking, and tried their best to "reason" with him. He called them all "chickenshit", and then threatened to kill them if they did not leave. Slowly, they turned, fear and shame in their eyes as they left our property. It was in this moment I learned what true courage is.

And then he saw the creature in all its awe-inspiring hideousy: taller than the largest tree he had ever seen, it loomed over him, massive as a mountain, but wiggling and evil, covered with glittering scales large as a hand, teeth like swordblades and vertical eyes full of quenchless malice, and a fathomless hatred for all things living and feeling.
... The beast´s skull, bigger than a carriage and full of sharp teeth and stings and bony crests and embodied anger, turned around in a speed that mocked its unimaginable size, and the look of its merciless eyes now locked on to the tiny man far underneath it, who had dared to challenge it with his sole presence. ...
... The rail burst assunder when it collided with the slimy serpent throat, and splinters of wood and iron crackled down on Thor, and the lethal fangs of the beast all of a sudden were directly above him.

ASGARDIAN'S DAY - Two Asgardian Sons

Artur Logan and Pedro Henrique are my Two Asgardian Sons ! Artur Logan was born under the issue of the Warriors Of the World and Pedro Henrique was born under the issue of Gods of War. It is needless to say that those are my favorite ones ! I teach them to listen to Manowars outstanding songs and i´m very, very happy when my young one is singing - Fight ! Fighting the World !!. That was all about !! We are in this world only to Fight !! Fight and Win !! Manowar taught me to Fight the Good fight, and i´m teaching my children too ! My 'Asgard Saga' is to teach my children how to live in this fake world, with all this fake people. I will teach them how to live, think and be true to theirselves ! HAIL AND KILL !!

On July 11th Magic Circle Festival IV will take place at Metalcamp 2010 in Tolmin, Slovenia.
