Karl is better technically but I think Ross is a better songwriter (not that it matters since Joey is the primary songwriter in Manowar). I have heard the solo albums of both Ross and David Shankle and they are great. I'll wait until I hear something composed by Karl to judge objectivelly his songwriting abilities.

I can imagine Manowar with 2 guitars.... Karl Logan + Ross the Boss.

The previus glorius past will mixed with the new sound.

That is correct. I just said it would be fair to listen to something composed by Karl alone before judging his songwriting abilities. But Ross released a very good album last year so I can say he is a good composer.

I don't know... I always liked the fact that they use one guitar. I think their sound is full and complete without a second guitarist. After all, Joey is filling in for the guitar and the bass at the same time.

It was nice though when they played "Battle Hymn" in 2005 with 3 guitars and 3 drums.

i meant that the mixing of the 2 guitarists will be nice.

The song writing of both, plus each other technics in guitar playing.

The result will be ultimate manowar songwriting (past days + new days), plus Joey "chief" :D

It's really interesting what you're discussing about... But I can't imagine Manowar with 2 gitarres... But for me it's also not important who is on drums and who on gitare, it's only important Eric is singing, Joey at bass and Joey composes the songs...

Did you see the earthshake DVD? there are all members of Manowar playing toghether. If you didn't look to, check out!!

It was great seeing them all together. But what you say about who should be in a Manowar album is based I think on the fact that only Eric and Joey are still in the band. If Ross hadn't left in 1988 he would also be considered a part of Manowar as much as the others.

You might be right. But I listen more to Eric's voice than to drums and gitares.... Sure it all belongs together and they all have a different style, but it's just not so important for me. I can imagine all Ross fans were sad when he left the band, maybe you thought Manowar ist not really the same than before... I only know them 3 years so I only know the others from CD and Rhino on drums from the last MCM.

Joey is in the band so it is always Manowar don't get me wrong. But I pay attention to the instruments too and I like Donnie's drums better than Scott's. Same with Ross and Karl. Karl is very technical and maybe fits Manowar today but Ross had a very unique style and he helped Manowar become big.

That's exactly what I ment, it's only important what we for ourselfes decide, and we all have different opinions. I suppose we all have different views what we like best at Manowar. I just din't know how to say in english, it's not my first language... I'm still learning on it, and feelings is something I can't talk about at the moment, but I'll learn, every post here helps me to learn new words and descriptions!!!

LOL, I can't talk... I often need a dictionary to look up the words and if I talk to someone it's like "stop, wait a moment, I have to look this word up in a dictionary... Äh, how do I spell it?" But I will learn step by step. At the beginning I had to translate every Manowar song... Now I can listen to them and I understand almost everything, sometimes there is a word I don't know but the sence is clear :)
